Do I have to talk about my bowel movements?

Yes, you do. Please don’t feel embarrassed, we all have them, and it’s important to answer honestly as this helps me to understand what is working well in your digestion and what may need some support. (It’s also the part of the consultation where you are paying me to talk crap!)

Who do you work with?

People who are living rurally or remotely who want to take control of their health. I look forward to working with you as you put effort into working on your health journey.

What to expect in the initial consultation?

We begin by discussing what symptoms you would like to address (aka why you booked the appointment), then questions will asked about all the body systems to build the big picture of everything that’s going on in your body, what makes it worse and what you may have discovered that makes it better. You may have symptoms that you think are unrelated but actually may be tied in together and we will work together to improve your health.

How long do I have to work with you?

It is important for you to take ownership for your health journey and to remember to have patience, as well as allowing time in your schedule to invest in your health to create change. It generally takes time for your health to deteriorate to get to a point where you decide to do something about it. There are no magic quick fixes or magic supplements and as it’s taken time for your health or wellbeing to deteriorate you can’t expect to be done after one session with me, particularly if you are seeking assistance for a chronic or long-term condition.
